Britney Spears An Inappropriate Role Model Essay
Britney Spears: An Inappropriate Role Model One of the most popular teenage entertainers ever is warping the minds of our youth. Before becoming a celebrity, she was a basketball player and churchgoing schoolgirl. Now, she claims she continues to cling to her Baptist faith, praying nightly and writing in her prayer journal (Daly sc.3). However, only by her statements would one know she is religious. It is not reflected in her music, videos, and performances (Perrotta 239). When asked about Britneyââ¬â¢s revealing wardrobe, her mother replied, ââ¬Å"I did not raise a promiscuous daughter. Day to day, Britney dresses like any other kidâ⬠(Tresniowski 102).
